Lavender Whispers

The award winning script "Lavender Whispers", follows Juliet a late 50 year old receptionist of strangers hall, who finds a lost love letter in between the floorboards of the museum. After investigation, she needs to decide rather to keep being stuck or break out of her repetitive life.

“Elizabeth leans in and whispers something into Juliet's ear. It makes Juliet breathe heavily with desire.

ELIZABETH (V.O)

We deserve wild nights as well as blissful mornings — ardent cries as well as lavender whispers.”

Winner of "Perfect Strangers" scriptwriting competition

"Perfect Strangers" is a screenwriting competition organised by Colton’s Acre Trust, through collaborative efforts involving esteemed organisations such as the National Centre for Writing, Young Norfolk Arts Trust and Norfolk Museum Service: Strangers’ Hall Museum.

It celebrates the centenary of Strangers’ Hall opening its doors as a museum by inviting aspiring screenwriters from Norfolk to delve into its rich history and craft compelling short film scripts. Writers were encouraged to draw inspiration from Strangers’ Hall’s eclectic tapestry, to spark the story.

A non-linear narrative between past and present and the realisation that queer love has always existed, only hidden. Love poems between star-crossed lovers and secret garden meetings. Giving a story to “Many women lived here. We know some of their names but little of their lives."

To maximise the chances for this short in the film festival circuit, it will only be available by request until the judging period is complete.
